Arrived met with Jonaly and husband. We had a brief discussion on the issues going on with the Rheem 65gl heat pump water heater. After all the information was gathered it was best decided to replace the water heater. The owners will be going to Home Depot to order a replacement authorized by the manufacturer. I quoted a price for the installation with a SPP and it was accepted. I noticed an old furnace and asked if may take a look. Upon performing a visual inspection it was determined that the oil fired furnace needed replacement. I highlighted and explained all of the issues going on with the unit. I quoted several options. We gave a presentation explaining all the details including the Synchrony finance option. The customers were excited of the choices and decided on the Bosch inverter heat pump. We explained that the pricing was only valid til Monday 1/23/23 due to the pricing increase for the new year. They decided to think about it and let us know of the decision come Monday. Cu

Met with Ethel and proceeded to perform a Ptu on a electric water heater. Upon close inspection, I could see rust and decay on top of the fittings come from the heater. I checked the data plate to get the specs off the unit. The water heaters life had expired. I opened up the compartments to the heating elements. I performed a ohm test on them. The elements registered 12.6 ohms respectively way below the allowed threshold on the unit. Having all this information and Ethel living on a second floor unit. The only sensible answer is to replace the water heater. I presented several options. Ethel picked the good option and paid in full. Ethel was very happy with the presentation.
