Greeted Hector, and proceeded to perform a PTU on a Peerless oil fired steam boiler. I replaced the oil tank filter along with the oil pump strainer. I removed the gun assembly, degreased, scrubbed and cleaned. I replaced the nozzle with a 70/75A. Checked and inspected the electrodes, made adjustments. I reassembled the gun assembly, restored power, fired up the boiler, and bled the oil lines. I observed the boiler run, cycle and reach temperature. Customer is happy with today’s service.

Arrived to customers home regarding options for remodeling half bath into a full bath. Nothing was exposed and customer had no plans of job because he’s doing all the work himself but will be plumbing done. Customer will be in touch and call us back once everything is exposed. Arrived, met with Kathleen and proceeded to follow up on a previous service call. Upon performing a visual inspection of the equipment, the outside condenser was cooked and compromised, shot. I turned my attention to working up several options for replacing the AC heat pump equipment. Given the age of the unit it is NOT advisable to perform any repairs. Full replacement should be completed. I explained all the options including Synchrony. Kathleen is interested but needs time to discuss with her husband to make a decision. Kathleen was uncomfortable filling out the Synchrony application. I sent Kathleen a brochure on the Bosch inverter system. Outcome to be determined. Kathleen was satisfied with the service.

I met with K.P. He explained to me the situation that his fan stopped working and makes a loud sound. Customer approved $129 plus diagnostic. Determine the capacitor is damaged. Customer approved to replace the Capacitor. The unit is working fine. K.P. Is satisfied with today's service.

Met with Edward and Gladys. I proceeded to discuss the boiler/ furnace being considered for replacement. I was quickly corrected and told, that I was there to look over an outside oil tank. The customer has an exterior oil tank which is in need of replacement. The tank is about 30 years old and leaking on the ground. Time is of the essence. I took pictures to document the scenario with the scope of the work. I pulled up the replacement cost to Edward, and he handed me a HEAP form to fill out. HEAP is responsible for the finance of the project. Jennifer Rios is the contact person in charge of the case. P# 845-750-1461 cell office p# 845-334-5300.

Called and spoke with Laurel to arrange for the job and access to stop by today make the necessary repairs to her heating system. Supplied and installed a new water feeder with a backflow preventer and a extrol 30 expansion tank, also included in the job scope was a replacement of the boiler supply side riser. Charged up the system and checked for leaks. Bled the heating zones and the indirect water lines. Fired up the boiler and allowed it to cycle and reach temperature. All is good. Customer was not home to sign for the work. Finally I called the customer to let her know the completion of the job.

Greeted Laurel at the door, whom directed me to the Bilko doors on the side of the house. Performed a visual inspection and began change out the oil filter, pump strainer and nozzle. Checked and inspected the gun assembly. Bled the oil line and checked for leaks. Fired up the boiler and observed it cycle until it reached temperature. All is well. Unfortunately the expansion tank is full of water and in need of replacement along with the water feeder w/backflow preventer and nipple. The two boiler heat supply risers are also full of rust. Several pricing options were created for consideration. I sat down and explained all of the options and issues with the boiler. Laurel would like to have the work done, but will apply for a Synchrony account to facilitate the ability to have the work done. Called FraBar for direction on how to proceed.

Met with Bill to discuss his mini split system replacement. Took pictures to document the existing equipment. Bill would like to upgrade to a system that can produce heat up to 15 degrees below zero. I explained to Bill that the interior heads would have to be replaced as well, as the exterior condenser. All units have to match for proper operation. Called the supply house to get information and I was referred to the in house specialist for a consultation in order to properly recommend which unit would work best.

We determined that the customer needed a pressure relief valve and an expansion tank on the hydronic side of the domestic hot water system. The customer agreed to go along with the repairs and is awaiting a call to schedule

Met with Tom to discuss the job at hand. Performed a walkthrough and took pictures to document the scope of the work being considered. Will pass along all information to our estimator Steve for proper sizing and design. Customer became very irate and began coursing obscenities. He said that we were the third contractor called in for a price and that no one had charged him. He l so said that he was never told by our office that’s there would be charge for our estimate. Bottom line, he was not paying anything.
