Replaced leaking A coil. Pressure tested to 500 psi for 20 minutes. Found no leaks. Vacuumed for 30 minutes down 250 microns. Performed pressure rise test. Held at 260 microns. Found no leaks. Weighed in factory charge and added extra for line set length. SC 13. SH 14. Temp drop 20 degrees. Confirmed operation.
Customer had concerns of long run times of ac unit on 90 degree hot days. Home is a split level brick house with a sun room attached on the back. Only issue I found was a dirty filter in the system. Unit has an 8 degree sub cooling and a 20 degree delta T. Put in a clean air filter, closed a couple vents in the lower level, and explained that the system will run for a long time when it is close to 90 outside and they have thermostat set to 70 degrees. The new equipment is built with efficiency in mind.
Customer said ac was not cooling. Found unit was empty of refrigerant. Performed leak search, found leak in the A coil. Ordered replacement coil from Virginia air.
Came out for water leaking, noticed a little bit of ice left from freezing on the U joints on the evap coil. Noticed the txv bulb in the wrong position and then due to high pressures took out about a half a pound of refrigerant. We received better numbers afterwards. Customer is interested in the cozy home plus monthly membership, the surge protection and plasma, just not at this time.
Draft motor was locked up on 16 yr old furnace. Removed motor and found a dead bird in it causing the motor not to spin. Removed the bird and reassembled the furnace. Tested for safe operation. Ac System uses outdated refrigerant that they no longer produce. System pressures looked good and was cooling the home.
Furnace was flashing code for ground issue. Found that the power plug on furnace did not have the ground peg on it. Replaced power cord and unit is back up and running.
Air conditioning maintenance visit. Performed AC tune-up on 2022 Rheem split system using AA213 filter. All checks good at this time. Customer is current on Cozy phone plan until 2024, today was anniversary check
Maintenance on hvac system. Reme halo and surge protection are still in good working order. Filter was pretty dirty, changed that today. Customer renewed maintenance but downgraded from cozy home to cozy hvac.
Performed maintenance on package unit. Changed 16-20-1 filter. Found failing capacitor on AC. Customer elected to hold off on repair at this time.
20 yr old mobile home furnace. Initial diagnosis is a failed draft motor. We looked inside the heat exchanger since we had the burner cover off and found that the heat exchanger is cracked. Customer is getting an estimate for a new furnace on Tuesday 11-1.
