It didn’t take long for Alex to find the reason for our AC outage. The culprits turned out to be a couple of insects which kept the switch from making contact. We sure want to thank you again, Alex, for getting our house back to a cool temperature.s

Customer said ac would not come on. Arrived and turned on stat. Blower came on but ac did not. Verified 240V to ac. Found a bug wedged in the contactor causing it to not fully close and complete the circuit. Removed bug. Tested and verified good contactor. Ac came on. Confirmed operation.
Customer said cooling was louder than before. Checked airflow in both heating and cooling. Could not lower heat speed anymore to try and get as much heat away as possible to avoid igniter wire melting. Lowered cooling speed to speed tap 3 medium high 1079 cfm to help quiet blower. Temp drop is within manufacturer spec. Informed customer of changes to service area and pricing.

Replaced broken fan motor and out of range capacitor. Module is also bad. Ordered and needed to return.

Furnace was tripping breaker and not running. Opened breaker box to confirm no loose wires. Furnace wire was in good condition. Thermostat was set to below room temperature. Customer wanted a simpler stat. Installed aa8444 for customer. Furnace would not ignite. Confirmed 120 volts to the igniter. Opened burner compartment to find igniter wire melted and shorted to metal. Swapped out igniter. Tried to position wire where it did not touch anything. Watched it light a couple times and watched 1 heating cycle. Confirmed operation.
