Today we visited to help determine if the a/c units are the correct size or not. The home is 11 months old and Alex had a recent inspection that said the a/c units might not be big enough. In addition to the concern about the a/c size the master bedroom does not seem to get cooled properly. After completing a heat load we learned the a/c units are the correct size. The home requires a 2-ton system upstairs and a 1.5-ton downstairs which is what the home has. As for the master bedroom the ductwork is not adequately designed for the load in the room. I’ve put together a drawing and estimate for the necessary corrections. Alex is hoping to have the builder pay for the ductwork fix.
