I thought he was kind and patient and knew what he was talking about. Excellent service
Customer called us out to see if we could get her unit back up and running. Upon investigation Troy found that there was no one home at the house and there was no access inside to be able to diagnose the machine properly. What I was able to do was to test the Compressor. Capacitor was good. Compressor was holding homes in balance. However, the resting pressures were at zero psi indicating that there’s no Freon and that there’s a leak in the system that has let all the Freon out unable to test further at the age of the unit told the customer that wherever the leak is, it’s not gonna be worth the cost to replace the part and they should look into replacing the unit altogether. Customer insisted on paying for the diagnostic and I sent along an estimate for a heat pump replacement.
We arrived on site to turn on air conditioning and check operation of system.
Customer replace the filters already. I live inside the house so they can use for next time.
Preventive maintenance since we installed self rinse evaporate coil shop vacuum drain line added drain solve added pound Freon to bring up sub cool and check all electrical components.
Air handler is in a very tight location. Determined loose connection in air handler/wiring. Stripped back high voltage wires at wire nut and reconnected. Low voltage wires seem to be fine. Very difficult location for me to access if problem persists need to send small person. Vacuumed and washed down primary drain which is clean
Repair Option primary drain line was clogged. Lots of sludge build up. Flushed drain. The return plenum is saturated as is inside the air handler. We need to return and do a preventative maintenance.
Performed complete diagnostic and evaluation of System operation and found everything in good shape, clean and operating very well.
Repair Option had a power surge ah did no cut back on tripping the float switch cleaned drain lines system up and running drain lines was clean 24v has been restored
Completed Installed new Honeywell WiFi thermostat and hard start kit per James.
This is the most basic equipment available for purchase today. It uses a single speed compressor and a single speed indoor fan. This unit is the least expensive to initially purchase and install.
Today we visited to evaluate the AC to see if it should be repaired or replaced. We learned the compressor failed and since the unit is 14 years old it should be replaced. We will be returning to replace the system with a 14 SEER Trane heat pump.
replaced bad 35+5 capacitor and performed complete maintenance on split system cleaned coils and flushed drain, temperatures and pressures checked good and draining properly.
Perform diagnostic and evaluation of System operation and present Customer with multiple options for Maintenance, Repair, or Replacement of System. Found leak in evap coil homeowner going to compare prices
Checked over system, only issue found was static pressure was a little low; adjusted fan speed and checked over system again; refrigerant charge and temperature splits are good; also fixed scheduling on thermostat
