My wife and I were wakened by a loud crash about 2:30am. At first I thought one of our grandkids had fallen out of bed. I jumped out of bed and ran to their room only to find that the ceiling in the hallway had collapsed. Dripping water was soaking the carpet. I went into the attic to find that the drain pan under the air handler was filled with water. Using a sponge I was able to soak up about 6 gallons of water to stop the dripping. I called Hot 2 Cold and spoke to an operator who make an appointment for later in the morning. John Campbell arrived at about 10:30am. I showed him the hole in the ceiling and explained that Hot 2 Cold technicians had installed the drain pan about 2 month ago. It was apparently mounted so that it drained away from the water sensor so that the AC continued to run even though the drain pan was over flowing. John re-leveled the pan and flushed the drain line so we were good to go. He also arranged with his Service Manager for the ceiling to be repaired since it was Hot 2 Cold's mistake that caused the problem. I was very happy with Johns thoroughness and professionalism, but not happy that the previous technician caused the problem in the first place. There was no charge for the service call.

Brennan G Today I visited for an inspection of crimped copper pipes inside the attic ( a tree branch had fallen through the roof and damaged the copper lines that were suspected to be refrigerant lines). I found that the lines were only for the condensate drain pumps, I tested one the the pumps and it still functions normally. I did not have to quote any repairs. I recommended having a through inspection and maintenance preformed on the ac systems.
Brennan G Today we visited to preform a maintenance on both systems Both systems are clean and all electrical components are within specs Chemical flushed both drains Found the goodman condenser was dirty and covered in grass trimmings. Rinsed outdoor coil. Both systems refrigerant levels are within spec 20* split. Noticed neither of the system have any air purification , besides the uv lamps inside the cabinets. Discussed installing whole home air purifiers to increase indoor air quality.

Brennan G Todays visit was for the system not cooling. Preformed diagnosis and inspections, found that the breaker was tripped , caused by a faulty compressor fan dual capacitor. Replaced the faulty component and installed a compressor saver with a surge protector to help prevent this from happening in the future. Vacuumed the drain and washed condenser coil as a courtesy System is cooling at this time

Brennan G Today I returned with a factory condenser fan motor and fan blade Replaced components and also installed a new capacitor Informed client that the repairs preformed have a 1 year warranty Condenser fan motor and blade Contactor Capacitor System is cooling at this time
Brennan g Upon arrival determined that the outdoor fan blade is bad. Tried to find replacement part at various supply houses, unable to find a match up. Ordered the new parts from Lennox , should be in tomorrow afternoon I will return and replace the condenser fan motor and blade with the oem parts from Lennox. Remaining work to be done as a courtesy.
Brennan G Todays visit was for the system not cooling. Before arrival the system had started working again. Client reported the outside fan had stopped working but the compressor was still running. Found that the motor we had installed in November is the wrong horsepower. Also the contactor relay is burned up. Scheduled repair for tommorow , we will replace the condenser fan motor under warranty. The contactor is not under warranty, both new components will have a 1 year warranty. Informed client the system is very old and regular breakdowns with become more frequent , suggested replacing the equipment
