Brennan G Todays visit was for a system maintenance and inspection 3 ton Trane , system is clean and all electrical are within specs Cleaned biological growth from inside the air handler Washed the outside unit Found blower speed set on high and was causing high static pressure Lowered to medium speed, static pressure is still high due to the undersized ductwork. Duct is original to the home 1985 and is in poor condition, duct cannot be modified or cleaned. Also found the attic insulation is low The breaker in the outside disconnect has gone bad and needs to be replaced , is by passed so the system can still operate Discussed replacing the duct system and adding insulation Complete duct replacement Replace supply plenum , all trunk lines , distribution boxes and flex runs. Install all new supply grills (high flow) Replace return air filter grill with high flow 18x24 All duct installed to code Mastic seal all connections and boots to sheet rock Replace outdoor disconnect (no e
