Huft is a great company. I started using them based upon a recommendation from a friend, and I have not regretted it. The technicians are always pleasant, explain what they are going to do, and what they did, and always provide options for any service necessary. Great company and great employees.
I trust this company to be honest and they are always on time. The service tec spent an hour and a half at my house but could not fix my 50 year old wall heater but he did not charge me a service fee. Good customer service.

Performed a tuneup and safety inspection on a Carrier unit. Checked heat operations, all components, and safeties. Found a crack in the heat exchanger on the second chamber from the top. Recommend system replacement due to age and condition of system. Homeowner wants to talk to her neighbors about them replacing their unit and decide what to do.
Gave options on Lennox and Rheem 2 stage equipment for zoning.
Performed last visit Heating maintenance on a Goodman furnace. Found high gas pressure at 3.8, adjusted back to spec at 3.5. Gas line are inspected to ensure no leak, cleaned and resurfaced flame rod, wiped down and vacuumed blower compartment, all electrical components were within spec and system is operating properly. System was without flood safety switch and surge protection, recommend installing to prevent future issues. Courtesy replacement thermostat batteries. Continuing on Superhero club membership today and will have two more visits left.
Homeowner wanted to replace the gas shut off valve and flex line on his wall furnace. In the process to turning off the main gas line at the meter the shut off valve broke. Homeowner will call pg&e to have it fixed. He will be calling us back in the near future to install a complete system instead. N/C for today’s visit since we couldn’t do the repair per MB.

Performed a heat tuneup on a York furnace. Checked heat operations, all components, and safeties. Found hot surface igniter reading high resistance at 94.7 ohms. Homeowner wants to hold off on replacing it today. System operations ok at this time.
Upon arrival defective fill up valve continued to over fill toilet tank. Replaced fill up valve. Flushed toilet 3 times to test for leaks. Test well no evident leaks.

Performed diagnostic with zone issue, found one room upstairs connected to downstairs zone and one room downstairs connected to upstairs zone, need installer to return and switch zone ducts.
Need to call tomorrow for confirm price and Availability on the primary circuit board. Upon arrival main concern was the Furnace doesn’t cycle on. Went on the roof and opened up the system to check the system out. Diagnosed failed primary circuit board. Not sending voltage for spark ignition. Call not complete, needs to follow up

No AC call. Outdoor fan motor is not running. Diagnosed and found the 40/5 capacitor is slightly out of tolerance on the compressor side and the fan side is not giving any readings. Spoke with customer about my findings and they approved repairs. Removed old capacitor and installed a new one. Cycled the system back on, outdoor fan motor is now running. Let system run for 10+ minutes, system is operating and cooling at this time.
