The tech came out and trouble shot the problem. For an 18 yo system that has never been serviced. It needed some love. A few expected parts needed replacing and he got it up and running again.

Upon arrival, pre inspected line for back water valve, and condition of pipe, upon camera inspection and jetting to clear pipe walks and flush box, no evidence of bac water was found, used netter up steam on main lateral, and jetted to main city tap( 90 drop), camera inspection after jetting to verify no valve was installed and no immediate sewer issues were evident Pre and post videos available upon request Sewer box configuration is bull horn style, bottom entrance goes up stream, top entrance goes down stream crossing where valve or “flapper†would be present Recommended branch lines to be cleared within 1 year of lateral being jetted to maintain cleared condition of pipe No warranty on back ups or clogs due to no cabling or work done
Upon arrival customer had gas insert that wasn’t lighting. Sprayed gas line to check for any leaks, test well no evident leaks. Attempted to light insert and lit up like normal. Insert working properly.
Upon arrival inspected system. Control board has cracked burned solder joints on the back. Unit operation is intermittent. Left estimates for repair.
Checked and cleaned all components. Drain line ok. Tightened wiring connections. System is operating within manufacturer specs. System is operational at this time. Home would benefit from added insulation. New duct system would improve indoor air quality.
Water heater out of warranty. Recommend replacing only due to age. Customer wants to replace old style shower valve with new style with pressure regulator to stop change in temp while showering and using other fixtures. Pulled and resettled toilet due to small leak coming under house. Leak most likely due to dried out old wax ring. Replaced wax ring and bolts. tested toilet by flushing 5 times, no evident leaks test well.
Met with Chad and quoted a new Rheem Variable Capacity Ultimate Comfort System. He will go over the quotes with his wife and get back to me.

Remove existing duct system, provide and install all new R8 ducting ran on attic floor. Seal duct system below 5% leakage. Remove existing accessible insulation, air seal attic floor. Blow in new R44 cellulose insulation, deep burying the duct system. Install metal duct to exterior from range hood vent. Wall off storage area with one inch RMax foam board. Build R-Max box w/hinged lid over shutter style whole house fan. Includes permit, labor, materials, third party testing, and taxes. Remove and dispose of existing electric water heater. Remove and dispose of rooftop solar collectors and seal roof penetrations. Provide and install one new Rheem 50 gallon heat pump water heater. Includes water heater, materials, labor, permit, crane, and taxes. Installation $4,400 Smud Rebate ($500) Assigned to Huft Amount Due at Completion $3,900 Removed old electric water heater and installed new 50 gallon hybrid water heater. With new tmp line to exterior. Also drilled through exterior wall to run new condensation line. Removed old electric box and installed new quick disconnect electric box. Ran new hard pipes on water heater. Turned water heater on to test, test well no evident leaks.
Performed heating tune up for Carrier spilt system. Checked all safeties and connections. Checked filter. Replaced capacitor for blower motor. System is operational at this time. Signed up on super hero club membership and performed first visit today.
Found front panel installed incorrectly causing door switch to not be pushed down. Install panel correctly and tested system. System is operational at this time.
