Came out to perform a preventative maintenance on AC system. Customer stated the system has had no major issues and has worked great since living in the home. She did mention that recently the AC unit had a significant amount of water around it, and it didn’t seem as cool in the home. I inspected the blower assembly, motor, capacitor, electrical components, drain and evaporator coil. Capacitor was reading significantly low and I recommended replacement. Blower motor is most likely struggling due to bad cap. Customer had me replace it. I washed the condenser coil. Inspected the capacitor, contactor, compressor, fan motor and coil condition. Checked thermostat operation, wiring, amps, temperatures and pressures of system. Unit is over 25 years old, but still operating. I recommended system be maintained to keep it running as long as possible for customer.
