Came out to call for customers system on the west side of home not cooling properly. We were out recently for the east unit, and got that fixed, but now the other unit is down. I checked the system over and found the unit not coming on due to a bad capacitor. The system would hum, but nothing would happen. Discussed with customer about repair needed and his options. They wanted to go with the Turbo capacitor with a 5 year warranty. I installed the new capacitor inside the system and rewired existing wires to new capacitor. Cycled system on and checked operation. I recommended customer have the systemâ€™s on a maintenance plan due to the frequent issues theyâ€™ve been having. That way things like part failures could be potentially caught before they go out, and help keep the systems running efficiently. Customer will discuss it over with his wife. System is now cooling properly.
