Came out to call for a system not cooling. Customer stated they came home from the hospital yesterday and the unit wasn’t cooling. I checked unit over and found the thermostat calling for cooling, but nothing on. I checked electrical and everything was fine. Checked float switch and found the float switch tripped from water. Let customer know what I found and customer stated that the unit was serviced and shouldn’t have any problems. I let customer know that we usually check the drains, and made them aware that the system is producing more water now than what it was a few months ago. Told them I would waive the service fee this time for the inconvenience. I cleaned out the drain line both ways and made sure drain was draining. I was able to hear the remaining water drain from the pan. Cycled system on and made sure unit was operating properly. Apologized to customer for the inconvenience of a hot home after surgery.
