22APR2024 Jason Brown Arrived for new customer tune up, and full system evaluation. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. We’re just moving in, it’s an older system and we’d like it checked over. Cycled equipment at the thermostat. Inspected furnace first. Found the system hardwired with no way to disconnect power. Found blower wheel very dirty and out of balance. This is causing some heavy vibrations. Inspected heat exchanger and evap coil. Exchanger has no cracks, however there is visible rust at the bends. Evap coil is dirty however with this model there is no way to remove the delta plate to clean it. Checked over electrical connections and components. Gas valve, capacitor, HSI and flame sensor are good. Cleaned the flame sensor while I was out. Inspected ductwork I found both supply and return to be lacking. Return comes out to about 420 CFM, and supply is about 800 CFM ( cubic feet per minute. ) attic insulation is lacking as well. Adding insulation will reduce run
