I came out for an estimate on a double wide mobile home. The system is getting older and in fairly poor condition. I recommended replacing full system due to its age, it is undersized for the house and it uses r22 refrigerant, which has been phased out. The crossover duct under the house is completely gone and a lot of the insulation under the house is missing. Either animals or other issues have caused the insulation to be torn out. We can install a new hard pipe cross over, but can’t insulate under the house. It will need to be insulated and have the vapor barrier installed or the ductwork will sweat and can cause water damage.
