Sam J - arrive to service a system that was not cooling very well. System had recently been installed during the renovation of the home within the past year. Customer explained that the contractor was unable to be reached to follow up on his existing issue, so he called us to service the system. After customer decided to move forward with us as the servicing company, I determined that the TXV was seized up, causing the system to be unable to cool. System is under warranty, customer agreed to pay for the warranty parts replacement any refrigerant to be used. Recovered refrigerant then replaced filter dryer in the condensing unit. Then replaced the warranty TXV in the attic. Wrap the bold and use the insulating cup to cover the valve. Vacuumed system down once the repair was done then charged with the recovered, refrigerant and added virgin refrigerant to get to the proper charge by weight.
