Arrived at the home to provide a white shield maintenance. Was greeted at the front door by the customer where I was shown where the furnace and the thermostat were located. Customer said that he heat seemed to be running well. While preforming the maintenance I checked all of the aspects of the furnace. Checked blower and inducer motor for proper operation, amps, and voltages, also pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Checked the spark igniter for proper spark and ignition of natural gas. Checked all electrical connections. Checked capacitors on blower and induce draft motor. Checked gas valve for proper operation as well. Did find blower motor run capacitor out of range, I explained to the Customer how we check and test the capacitor and also it’s job and how important it is to the blower motor and the overall system. With the customers permission I went ahead and replaced the run capacitor and verified it after installing it. System needs no further repairs at this time.
