Came out to call. Customer said system wasn’t cooling like it’s supposed to be. We recently installed part of the mini split last year because of multiple issues. I checked system over and found a dirty condenser coil. I washed condenser coil off, and checked pressures. The system was basically pumping itself down. My pressures never regulated, and I even added 5 Oz’s of 410a to see if my pressures would change. Still didn’t change anything. The liquid line is freezing up at the valve. I discussed with manager, and we are to come back out to be able to spend more time on it to diagnose the problem. Told customer that the office will get in contact with him about day and time. 10JUN20-I returned to double check the diagnosis. The line was still freezing up. I added some more refrigerant which brought the pressures up and the line thawed. I shut the system off and performed a leak search, I found a leak in the evaporator coil, in the head unit. The system is still under warranty
