Came out to perform a preventative maintenance on AC system. Customer stated that she purchased the home recently and needed the unit maintenanced. System is original to the home and was built in 2017. I did a check of the filter, coils, ductwork and overall condition of equipment. Washed condenser coil thoroughly. Systems return ductwork is a little dirty and undersized, so I recommend adding an additional one for more airflow. Checked capacitor, contactor, compressor, fan motor, thermostat operation, wiring, amps, temperatures and pressures of Condenser. Found a minor kink in the suction line at the unit. Also found system a little out of range on refrigerant pressures. Discussed with customer about options. Customer chose to add refrigerant to get it cooling efficiently. I added 1.1lbs of 410a to get system within range. I recommend customer have the units refrigerant rechecked at the beginning of summer next year. System is cooling properly.
