Came out to call for a system that had froze over during the weekend. Customer turned system off to thaw it out and also stated that he had changed the filters before I came out. We were out for a service at the beginning of the month and offered to supply customer with filters that come with the service and forgot to give them to the customer. He showed me the filters and they were dirty. I checked system operation and condition and found the unit to be running properly during the inspection. We also discussed previous recommendation of changing out the condenser fan motor. Customer wanted to wait at this time. Told customer I would leave ticket open for the next couple of days in case something comes up, but the system is cooling properly. I believe the filters were hindering air flow and causing the coil to freeze up.
