Came out to call. Customer stated that the outside system wasn’t coming on like it normally did and was making a different noise he got it to work for a little bit yesterday after having it off, but now it’s not doing anything. I checked system over and found the capacitor depleted and the system not being able to run. Hard start kit got the compressor to turn over, but that’s it. I let customer know that the capacitor is bad and needs to be replaced. Capacitor is under part warranty, so customer only has to pay labor. I replaced the capacitor and went ahead and did the maintenance owed to the customer. Washed condenser coil thoroughly. Gave customer filters to change when needed. Inspected the contactor, compressor, fan motor, and condenser coil. Checked thermostat operation, amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is now cooling properly within manufactured specifications at this time.
