I inspected the system and found the system to be in a garage closet with under sized duct work on supply and return duct. We discussed the location of the system and found that it’s a upflow in a garage closet. I explained how we can put the system in the attic and gain far better airflow to give the system a better and longer life. We decided to bid the system and put the system in the attic. I explained the new duct sizing and why we need more return cut ins and that the new grills will be sized to replace the two way grills without any sheet rock replacement or patches. I will be following up with the homeowner tomorrow.
