Silver club AC maintenance. Joe(JC)R 04/24/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customer’s annual AC maintenance. The customer said that several days ago they had tried to turn the heat on. They said that the furnace never fired and never produced hot air. I found that the gas valve was bad and not opening up. Also, when I was checking the furnace, I found that the blower motor was pulling excessive amps, and the blower wheel was dirty. The ductwork is also somewhat dirty and I recommended a cleaning to them. The evaporator coil and condenser are in good shape and are much newer than the furnace. The evaporator coil and condenser. Are two years old and are a Lennox brand. The furnace is Amerstar brand and is 19 year old.
