I arrived for a no heat call on a rental property. I inspected the furnace located in the attic and found that the flame sensor was extremely dirty and was not allowing the system to stay running for more than a few seconds. I cleaned the sensor and cycled the system on and found it to be running normally. I checked all electrical components and checked for carbon monoxide and found no readings at this time. I visually inspected the heat exchanger and found the heat exchanger to have some heat damage and running accumulating on the heat exchanger but no cracks or holes on the heat exchanger at this time. I also inspected the condenser to replace the system with the homeowners provided condenser and we will provide what materials and parts are not provided for the condenser replacement. I will be reaching out to the homeowner for approval for repair and the condenser replacement.
