Silver Club call out for wiring issues. Customer had lightning strike home a few weeks back, and their thermostat was acting odd, in that, it would not turn on when the temperature was set down. Husband set temperature up, then down again and it was working again, but customer wanted peace of mind to make sure no issues might have occurred to either of the two Lennox Split Systems. Checked both thermostats and no burnt wiring or issues were found. Checked both furnace control boards, capacitors, wiring and attic vents and no issues were found. Checked outside disconnects, wiring, capacitors, compressors and fan motors and no issues were found. Both systems working well at this time. Talked about surge protectors with customer, and explained that more than likely the existing GFCI outlets took the hits for most of the home. Customer asked me to bill them the service call fee.
