Came out to call for a free second opinion. Customer stated that they had another company out this week to take a look at the system, and stated that the unit had the valve stems removed and that she would need a new unit, and to not run the system due to the issue. Customer explained to me that the system was operating, but didn’t seem to be cooling as well as it should. I checked the system over and found a few issues. First, the system was operational but was just out of range cooling wise. Secondly the blower capacitor was out of range and causing stress on the motor. Lastly, the ductwork is attached directly off the evaporator coil end, and needs to be reconfigured. System will run, but not as efficient as it should. Went over what I found with customer and we discussed repair vs replacement. Unit is pieced together but it’s all carrier equipment.
