Jake Kring. 05-28-2024. I arrived for a new customer system replacement opportunity. I spoke with the homeowner and she showed me the location of the indoor and outdoor system. I found the system to be a 90,000 btu furnace on a 3” flue. The exsisting system is a 4 ton on a 2583 sq ft home. We bid a 5 ton system with or with out the additional return duct. The exsisting cfm is at 1571 return air cfm and the 5 ton system is designed to pull 2000 cfm per manufacture specifications. We cannot adjust or increase the duct work in the floors. The new indoor system will be on a metal base to transition to the floors duct work. The outdoor system will be on 12” risers vs the normal 3” risers to help keep the dogs from urinating on the condenser coil and corroding the coils. The new system will have a 10 year parts warranty and a 2 year labor warranty.
