Came out to call. Customer stated that the system was freezing over and the unit wasn’t cooling properly. I checked the system over and found the unit low on refrigerant. AC unit is from the late 80’s and is in rough shape. The interior system was replaced in 2008. I informed customer about the condition of the system and let him know that there is a significant chance the system has a leak in it. Went over leak search pricing and discussed replacement as well. Customer is planning to replace the system next year and wanted to see if this unit will get him through the summer. He had to add refrigerant to the unit last year and it held up. So he wanted to just charge it for now, and see if it can make it through the summer again. I advised him that I couldn’t guarantee that it would last the summer. I added 30ozs of R22 to the system to get proper readings. Unit is cooling properly the best it can given the condition of it. Told customer to give us a call when they want to move f
