-Replaced compressor contactor as approved prior on System G 1. System was recommended for replacement due to multiple challenges with system. Upon performing leak search as approved prior, found compressor has deteriorated at the bottom and is source of leak. Compressor in need of replacement. Unable to identify any further leaks in system. Due to R22 type system and overall condition, system replacement is still recommended. Office should provide estimate for compressor replacement versus system replacement. -On site assistant manager stated to complete all work as approved. Requests immediate proposal for replacement while district manager is on site later today.
Replaced downstairs air handler breaker from 60 to 45 amp in main panel. All other breakers are sized correctly.
Customer was not home at this time tech was un able to service inside portion tech serviced outside condensers and replaced downstairs 45 amp breaker with 30 amp breaker and labeled condenser and breakers. Tech found no challenges with the condenser at this time both are newer sys. Tech could not pull grates due to units being stilted and as close to the house and together they were.
-Performed CMA Full Service on 12 Split Systems and 2 dehumidifiers at 6 different buildings on site. -Building E System - 2014 Goodman 5 Ton Split: Dual run capacitor tested weak. Recommend replacement of 80/5 mfd dual run capacitor. Provided estimate. -Building F System - 2006 Goodman 5 Ton Split: Outdoor fan motor amperage at FLA limit. Motor pulling high amperage and may be due for failure. Recommend replacing motor. Provided estimate. Blower motor pulling excessive amperage. Likely a result of very weak capacitor. Motor is in danger of shorting if capacitor is not replaced. Provided estimate for replacement of capacitor. -Building G System 1 - 1999 Copeland 3 Ton R22 Split: Observed call on thermostat wires but not at contactor. System is void of refrigerant and would need a leak search performed, repair and recharge of refrigerant to operate. Provided estimate for charging system with nitrogen and performing leak search. Observed contactor arching when engaged. Recommend repl
Tech washed and serviced unit and found dual run capacitor to be testing weak tech recommended replacement customer approved turbo capacitor with the 5 year warranty. Customer also extend esa 1 system. Unit is up and cooling with a delta t of 21.
Tech performed esa on 1 system. Split system-Tech serviced and cleaned system found no challenges at today’s visit, system is cooling with 20 delta t.
On downstairs system, tech found braze joint that connects liquid line to air handler leaking. Tech recovered 1.5 lbs of remaining refrigerant and flowed nitrogen while fixing braze joint and replaced biflow filter drier. System passed positive pressure test and standing vacuum test at 260 microns. Tech recharged with 8 lbs 5 oz of new R410a plus no additional refrigerant for short lineset. Tested system without issues. Downstairs system is back operating correctly. Install warranty. Mr Crumpler reported upstairs system is working properly. During repairs, upstairs system cycled on and off regularly. Upstairs thermostat is maintaining 70 degrees.
PERFORMED CMA INSPECTION ON 5 SPLIT SYSTEMS. ALL SYSTEMS ARE PERFORMING PROPERLY AT THIS TIME. COMPLETED FILTER CHANGE OF 4 20x20x1 FIKTERS, 1 20x20x4 FILTER, 1 14x20x1 FILTER, 2 1616x1 FILTERS AND 4 16x20x1 FILTERS.
FOUND LOW VOLTAGE FUSE BLOWN DUE TO LOW PRESSURE SWITCH WIRING SHORTED IN COMPRESSOR COMPARTMENT. TAPED OFF WIRING AND SECURED TO PREVENT VIBRATION. SYSTEM UP AND HEATING. INVESTED IN PSA (1) SYSTEM.
Tech preformed CMA FULL SERVICE on 5 Split Systems. System #4 was not operating correctly due to tripped float switch. Tech reset switch and unit began to operate. Tech believes switch was accidentally tripped by items being placed or fell on switch. Tech notified Parts Manager of challenge and possibly keeping area clear to prevent it from happening again. All Systems are operating within specifications at this time. Tech has attached System Performance Reports to invoice along with pictures.
