Upon arrival tech inspected system and found belt for blower motor was broken causing system to lockout. Tech installed universal belt of truck again and adjusted tension. Informed customer to observe system and if issue happens again we will need to order OEM belt to replace with. System is back operational at this time.
Upon arrival tech was informed that system was not heating. Inspected system and found error code 55 on display for rollout switch trip and temperature limit. Tech did find rollout tripped, reset and system came back on. Checked amp draws and reading low. Inspected belt and found it to be loose and multiple breaks in it. Tech received authorization to replace belt. System is back operational at this time.
Tech performed Cma full service on two rooftop gas pack units Carrier unit has power turned off at breaker. Per findings on last visit, compressor is shorted to ground. Customer is aware of challenges and this system was turned over to field supervisor last visit. Lennox unit is cooling and heating properly. Tech did have to pull And clean burners. No further challenges.
Performed CMA on 2 Rooftop Gas Package Units. #1 - Carrier - Services Right Side of Building - upon arrival tech found system not operational. Manager stated system has not ran for years. Last tech notes stated compressors were shorted to ground. Tech was able to confirm this with multimeter and Megohm meter. Turned over to field supervisor department for follow up. #2 Lennox - Services Left Side of Building - no challenges present at today’s visit. The system is cooling properly and holding a delta t of 17-18 degrees. This system is having to work harder to make up for the other system not working. Filters changed and old ones disposed of.
