Tech washed and serviced unit per service agreement, tech found no challenges at this time, tech found evaporator coil rusted and corroded, tech leaked searched system and found no leaks at this time, tech found no challenges at today’s visit, system is back up and running and holding a delta t of 20+ degrees, will need to drop off 3 12x12x1
serial number: 241610109L Tech replaced a faulty ECM indoor blower motor found by a previous tech. Tested motor after replacing and operated without challenges. Thermostat had the double dash error which indicated a faulty sensor. Tech reset the thermostat and code got reset and temperature display was visible again. The recommended to monitor the system for any more challenges, as which tech suspects the blower relay may not be having the contacts make a full connection to allow the blower motor to stay operating when it is called for. Tech tested the system numerous times to attempt to provoke a fault with the relay but did not find challenges for now. Smoke detectors have been recommended to be replaced on all 6 RTUs(roof top units) by a previous tech, kitchen system is the one that causes the most challenges with smoke detection due to the cooking fumes. Tech checked all the thermostats to assure they were on and operating as should.

Tech washed and serviced both systems and found downstairs compressor to be testing in the yellow tech recommended hard start kit to lower start amps and extend life of compressor customer approved tech found no other challenges at this time. Customer had to leave before tech was done. Tech was unable to check delta t.

Customer reports system was blowing heat yesterday and house got up to 90 degrees inside. Tech gave 22 year old Trane a cooling call and recorded R22 pressures and amp draws. Inspected O circuit wiring. Found no challenges with O wire or any other low voltage wiring. Tech forced reversing valve to shift back and forth several times without issue. Tech forced defrost and outdoor fan did not shut off during defrost cycle. Tech also found 12.5uf blower capacitor leaking fluid and reading weak at 11.28uf. Tech also found 25/5uf dual capacitor is also leaking fluid and reading 17.32 uf on HERM side and 4.52 on FAN side. Put repair quotes under estimates. Tech recommends ESA maintenance and replacement of defrost board/capacitors if customer plans on keeping 22 year old system. Based on age and expected lifespan, tech recommends getting quote to replace system. Available this upcoming week. Call to confirm field supervisor appointment.
Found the drain line blocked off by algae at the port of the primary drain pan. Tech received approval to clean the primary drain pan. Tech flushed the drain line and attempted to level out the drain as best as possible. Drain line has been recommended to be re-done and also increasing the height of the airhandler in the past. Tech recorded a video the system draining before departure.
