I was evaluating the need for new unit after initially working with another company. I called Jackson and Sons because of the high ratings online. Caleb came out to give me an estimate but recommended an inspection first to determine need. Tyler came out to inspect my system and gave me a detailed honest report. Repaired one unit and recommended replacement of other. Ultimately I purchased one unit from Jackson and Sons and upon recommendation will wait on the other. One of the most important indicators of a good company is how the staff, from office to field technicians and sales reps show up on the job, how they communicate, and the respect and professionalism they show. So far I have worked with several, between inspection, installation and follow up. Based on my interactions throughout the process, I expect that the leaders treat their employees well, support their work, and have created a positive company culture. It seems to have inspired loyalty and alignment with company values and it shows. You can’t pay people to show up like this - it comes from relationships. Happy employees lead to happy customers and I’m one of them!
Luis was very professional and personable. As a new customer, I am beginning to love this company!
I was very pleased with the inspection of my HVAC units to determine if one or both needed replacing. Tyler was able explain the technical details in a way I could understand. A big plus. I am confident in his recommendation.

Found old thermostat wire chaffed, continuous 24v was supplied to Y2, engaging the indoor blower motor to operate non stop but the 2nd stage on the compressor did not come on. No voltage was supplied on Y1. Replaced thermostat wire from the thermostat to the current spliced section of the other new thermostat wire that was installed by the unit to eliminate thermostat wires out the challenge, and also pulled out the pinched thermostat wire area from underneath the hood. After replacing the thermostat wire, tech attempted to put on the previous Trane 824 thermostat to test out system operation. Blower turns on and off as it should, but system was on,y receiving 24v on Y1 for 2 seconds then No voltage was supplied. Tech replaced the Trane 824 thermostat with a new one and upon start up, tech noticed that the Trane thermostat randomly reset. No cooling challenge was still present, thermostat was dropping voltage for the compressor. Tech swapped out the Trane thermostat with another Honey
