Total satisfaction.

The entire Jackson and Sons team were a pleasure to work with. The price they quoted was what was written up. There were extra fees or add on prices that some companies throw in. The technicians arrived in the morning and continued all day and set up a canopy when it started raining. Their supervisor came and made sure I had no issues and answered all my questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jackson and Sons to my family and friends.

My daughter is with her husband at Duke while he is having cancer surgery this morning The last thing she said to me this morning was ‘don’t let anything happen to my kitten. She has been a blessing and comfort to them.

Upon arrival tech found failed heat sequencer and two melted line volt wires. Replaced sequencer after approval and corrected wiring. Heat strips are now operational. Checked cooling side of system and found to be void of R22. Informed customer, call Monday to set up a time for supervisor to come out.

Tech replaced filters for newer Symbio gas pack in the front. Tech raised the back of AHU 4 with Spencer's help and rerouted drain downhill. Tested with water.

System is a 5 year old 2.5 ton carrier split system. Tech called for heat mode and found outdoor unit energized in cooling mode. O circuit is not energized, but reversing valve is in the cooling position. Tech also found 35/5uf dual capacitor reading 7% weak on HERM side Customer also reported that air handler has dripped water in the closet before. Installing company came out, but could not resolve issue. There was water under air handler today. Inside of air handler is rusty where system has continuously dripped condensation directly off of indoor coil. Heating/cooling speed is set to speed tap 1. The heat strips are set to blower speed tap 2. Speed tap 3, 4, and 5 are not used. Tap 3 is high airflow. Tap 2 is medium (used for electric heat), and tap 1 is low (currently heating/cooling speed). Tap 3 works. Tap 4 and 5 do not. Likely unprogrammed from the factory. Tech does not have a guaranteed solution to prevent condensation dripping directly off of coil except to clean coil (alr

Performed CMA full service. Newer Trane Symbio gas pack (serial 112L) had numerous heating failure codes due to burners being overfired. Tech adjusted gas pressure to 10" high stage and 4.9" low stage per install manual. Gas pack (serial 494L) has 3 larger style inshot burners showing significant corrosion. Tech recommends replacing burners. Outdoor unit 8 (serial EU4F) has a failed 5uf outdoor fan capacitor reading 0uf. Replaced for testing purposes. Tech also found low delta t and slightly low refrigerant pressures. Leak searched system and found no obvious leaks. Tech recommends replacing fan capacitor and adding 1 lb of R410a. Split system EMGF in the back youth area is very low on refrigerant. Tech estimates 4-6 lbs low. System is under 2 years old. Tech leak searched system and found liquid line valve core leaking and brass cap loose. Tech tightened valve core, but it did not stop leaking. Found no other refrigerant leaks in system. Tech recommends replacing valve core and ch

Tech washed and serviced units, found outdoor coils to be caked with grass, tech took care of it as part of today’s visit. No other challenges found with systems today. Recommended media filters to prevent having to change filters out so often. Customer not interested at this time. Units are holding a delta T of 21.

Customer had downstairs thermostat in emergency heat mode on arrival. Tech recommends standard heat mode. Customer wants to make sure system is working properly before summertime. He reports the front right 2 rooms are not getting enough cooling during summer. Both have only one supply register. Tech tested system. Found no bypass damper on system. Zone dampers are set up to not shut all the way in the closed position. Recorded refrigerant pressures and amp draws. Tech suspects no major issue with 2.5 ton system. Need to call early next week to have field supervisor evaluate front 2 rooms and comfort challenges with house. Need to evaluate 2.5 ton sizing.

Tech arrived and did not get an answer at front door, tech began performing preventative maintenance on outdoor units and found bacteria growing in package unit blower housing and compartment, tech built estimate for installation of plasma air to prevent bacteria growth. Tech did not find any other challenges with outdoor units at this time. Tech spoke to homeowner and found they are very sick and we will need to reschedule to complete indoor portion of service. Systems are back on and operational at this time.

Tech arrived and began maintenance on Goodman package system, tech found uv bulb blown and recommended replacement, tech noticed higher amperage from fan motor but found fan motor was not Oem and rated for operating amperage. Tech found no other issues with system at today’s visit. System is back on and operating properly after completion of service. No access to crawlspace to check ducts or crawlspace condition.
