Once again, this is nothing but a good report, Spencer Clayton not only did an excellent investigation concerning the problem BUT he also came on a Saturday and fixed the unit. He had to relocate the unit since the installer, NOT JACKSON and Sons, had done an inferior job of installation. Spencer is very knowledgeable, and professional, explained it all beforehand, and then completed the work. He then checked everything to make sure it was working properly, and it was. I only have good things to report concerning your employees, Brett Shackleford and Spencer Clayton. They both were considerate, professional, and easy to understand when they explained what they were doing. Brett did an outstanding job of maintenance and Spencer also did an outstanding job of investigating the problem I am having with one of the units (note that Jackson did NOT install these units and I only wish I had known about Jackson when I decided to go with the Split heating/air-condition system). Thanks, Jackson & Sons for having hired employees that know their trade and are good with customers.

-Verify breaker sizing on recently installed units 4 & 6. -Unit 4: Found appropriate sized 50 A Cutler Hammer type BR breaker in place per data tag. No changes made. -Unit 6: Replaced existing 45 A Cutler Hammer type BR breaker with 40 A Cutler Hammer type BR breaker per data tag. Verified voltage at breaker, unit operated.

Customer described history of Trane 624 reverting to gas/oil. Tech verified 624 tstat settings were correct on arrival. Called for cooling. Filter drier was not replaced with recent indoor TXV. Defrost board was in a 4 flash hard lockout. Duct system is old and in poor condition. All duct is laying in the ground. Most of the duct is hand pipe with insulation falling off and visibly crushed in places. Crawlspace is sandy and very tight. TEM6 cooling airflow dip switches are in factory default (off,off,off,off) and yellow wire is in Y1. Tech swapped yellow to Y2 for single stage compressor outside and corrected nominal airflow dip switches from factory default (nominal 4 ton airflow) to nominal 3 ton airflow (off,on, off, off). Leak searched threaded connections on new TXV and found no refrigerant leaks. Recorded TESP at 0.25”WC after blower ramped to full speed after 7 minutes. Static pressure chart indicates blower is moving 1092.5 CFM for 3 ton system. Allowed system to cool f

Performed ESA, tech found compressor over amping and leak inside evaporator coil. Compressor was also ohming in the yellow(caution). Tech informed homeowner of findings. Also contacted field supervisor and is on site.

Performed ESA, during maintenance tech found 2 leaks inside evaporator coil. Coil is in poor condition, signs of rust and corrosion. Left side of coil is caked up and falling apart. Tech contacted field supervisor and arrived on site during maintenance. Tech cleaned and serviced unit.

Performed ESA, no issues at todays visit. System is brand new. Tech noticed air purifier had not transferred over from old system to new system. Spoke with office over the phone to confirm and informed homeowner. Tech installed plasma air purifier that was supposed to have already been in the new system. Tech cleaned and serviced system.

OBVIOUS OILY SUBSTANCE IN DRAIN PAN. 24 YEAR OLD SYSTEM. COSTLY REPAIRS NOT RECOMMENDED. EVAPORATOR COIL LIKELY NO LONGER AVAILABLE. HANDED OVER TO FIELD SUPERVISOR. UNABLE TO CONTACT MARION.

Upon arrival customer stated they noticed a noise with the inside portion system upon inspection tech blower housing missing screws tech fastened new screws and system is back up and running with a delta t of +20. Customer would like to talk to husband for renewal and will gives us a call.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found no challenges at this time. Tech did notice disconnect seized inside box tech was unable to pull fuse out. Tech turned system off and on with main panel tech recommended disconnect replacement. Customer would like to wait. Customer renewed PSA 1 system.
