Found a failed stuck single stage shut gas valve, and multiple holes in the heat exchanger. 2003 model gas package unit. Tech informed the customer about the findings and requested a field supervisor to provide a solution. Gas pack was left off at the service disconnect for now. Customer requested a 20-30 minute call ahead before the field supervisor arrives.

Upon arrival tech was informed system outside was not coming on at all. Inspected and found standing pressure to be 45psi. Homeowner approved performing leak search. Tech found the screw cap on the back of the TXV to be cracked and leaking. After speaking with office and verified warranty tech emailed estimate to make repair. Homeowner will give office a call once ready to move forward. Condenser is currently left off at disconnect and Air Handler is running on Aux Heat.
