Customer stated that AC was not cooling. Found and replaced dual capacitor. Cycled system in cooling, checked refrigerant pressures and subcooling. Measured delta-T. Cleaned condenser coil as a courtesy. Everything is operating normally at this time.
Performed clean and check on Carrier AC system. Tested and inspected blower motor assembly and all electrical components, measured amp draw, checked refrigerant pressures, superheat and delta-T. Changed filter. Tested t-stat operations and cycled system in cooling. Everything is operating normally at this time.
Customer stated that AC was not cooling properly. Found condenser fan not operating during cooling cycle. Diagnosed bad capacitor with no meter reading. Replaced capacitor, tested condenser motor windings, cleaned condenser coil as a courtesy. Cycled system in cooling. Checked refrigerant charge, superheat and delta-T. Recommended consideration for unit replacement due to the age of the system. Everything is otherwise operating normally at this time.
Customer stated that AC was not cooling properly. I cycled system in cooling. Found furnace filter sucked into blower compartment. Removed and cleaned washable filter. Reinstalled filter and cycled system in cooling. Everything is operating normally at this time.
Found failed hard start capacitor and relay which I removed cycled ac with no issues offered to replace hard start however customer will get back to us all operations are normal at this time.
Found system low on charge customer stated they do not want a new system at this time and just wanted the system topped off added 2 pounds of 410a cycled ac all operations are normal at this time. Gathered equipment replacement info for future reference.
Performed clean and check on ac system checked temp drop checked filter checked charge tested and inspected all electrical components and controls found contactor pitted and evidence of electrical arc while ac is engaged reccomended replacement of the contactor customer agreed replaced contactor all operations are normal at this time.
Had been out previously on a cnc and found a bad solenoid valve which I offered to replace customer had declined at that time. Customer purchased a solenoid valve and had installed it themselves but was not able to get it to function. Returned inspected wiring and found a loose wire
Performed clean and check on electric air handler and heat pump. Measured temperature rise, tested all electrical components, checked filter which does not need changed at this time, inspected blower assembly and measured amp draw, checked refrigerant pressures, measured temperature across coil, tested defrost cycle. Found and replaced weak OD capacitor. Tested t-stat operations and cycled system in heat and emergency heat and found everything to be operating within specifications at this time.
Found water heater trying to ignite however cut off due to no flame sense removed burner assembly cleaned flame sensor and reinstalled assembly started water heater and cycled twice with no issue. Informed customer that if this occurs again the assembly will need to be replaced and due to the age of the water heater would be better off replacing the system due to cost of repair and the systems life expectancy. All operations are normal at this time.
Found unit with bad thermostat. Replaced old thermostat with new one unit working within specifications all operations ok at this time.
Found unit with contactors buzzing and having trouble making good connections replaced 3 3 poles contactors cycled unit all operations are okay at this time .
Found unit low on charge, charged ac unit with two pounds of r22 also removed filter as it was to restrictive for the furnace blower all operations are normal at this time.
