Problem not resolved



My air conditioner stopped working on Monday, June 24th. I called on Tuesday morning, and an appointment was set the same day. LBA was able to get my air conditioning working again. It was determined that the thermostat had weak batteries. There was no indication on the thermostat that the batteries were low. Instead of just replacing the batteries, or replacing the thermostat, the technician installed a wire so that batteries are no longer needed in the thermostat. The thermostat was the problem. But, instead of replacing the thermostat, it was only repaired. The thermostat is still not working correctly. The thermostat now has two buttons that do not work on it that were working before the service call. One is the Menu button, and the other is the button that turns the display back light on and off. The display back light is now on all of the time and cannot be shut off. The back light is fairly bright, and it looks like a night light in the room when the room is dark. I do not want the back light to stay on all of the time, but I do want the option to turn it on temporarily if I need to be able to see the screen. I also want to be able to access the menu option using the menu button. I called LBA several times on Wednesday during business hours. I was not able to speak directly to an employee of LBA, just their answering service. The answering service was not able to answer my questions. They were only able to leave a message for LBA to call me. I am not able to receive calls at work, so I was unable to speak with LBA directly be calling. I sent an email to LBA on Thursday morning before office hours with my concerns. I have not received a reply from LBA as of Friday morning. I am not happy with the quality of work that was performed, and I am also not happy with the lack of ability to communicate with LBA. I am going to have to either take time off work to be home when they come out again to fix what should have been fixed the first time, or I am going to have to have someone there when they come to do the work.
