Came to do a courtesy check after having technician out on Friday. System had previously frozen and technician added UV dye and replaced filter. System was operational at time of departure. Upon arrival today refrigerant pressures are holding where they should be. At this time it is likely the freezing condition was due to low air volume from dirty filter but advised customer if they notice ice or drop in performance to let us know and we will perform a full leak search.
Refrigerant low and filter was extremely dirty, causing the indoor evaporator coil to freeze. We’re gonna use some easy breathe filters and I added some refrigerant to top it off with some leak seal. We will come back on Monday. Check for a leak if it’s still freezing at that point, we know that we have another issue. Estimate
Customer called for no AC. Found that outdoor unit was energizing and fan ran but no compressor. Took door off service panel, found that wire for compressor had burnt off at the contactor. Replaced contactor and installed a compressor saver kit to lower running amps and assist compressor. System is operating normally again.
Went for furnace inspections today. One furnace has a serious airflow issue and a carbon monoxide leak. Other furnace passed safety inspection and airflow. Inducer motor and blower motor amperage passed. Temperature split between the supply and return duct passed. Gas pressure and pressure switch passed. Thank you for choosing LBA services!
Arrived at customers for the furnace tuneup process of the inspection we discovered a dirty blower wheel along with receiving a high calling static pressure, dirty filter. All other components met within factory specs.
Had a service call customer said house wasn’t cooling, it was blowing heat. Checked the capacitor first it was bad. Replaced it, system is now cooling. Thank you for choosing LBA services!
