RT3 gas package unit System was set to 71 with it 72 in the building and system was off. Turned system on, at thermostat, and waited for it to come on, didn’t see anything unusual in system start up. Went on to the roof to look at package unit. Once taking the door off did notice anything wrong visually at first with the system. Left Ryan on the roof and Zach to the thermostat to turn system back down, to see if the system kept running causing the issue. After turning the system up and down and checking voltage across w1 and common at the ignition board system checked out but once the system was turned off by the off position on the thermostat the system kept running. It also dropped 24v across w1 and common. The system will need to replace the thermostat because it is not registering temperature properly. Called carrier and they have a board in stock. Also noticed the wire that powers the igniter has been patched with a wire nut and will be fixed because carrier does not sell them

Upon inspection found furnace board malfunctioning on heating mode not allowing power thru to energize inducer motor causing code 31 to show up , inspected pressure switch, hoses , high and low voltage. Voltage exiting board to energize inducer motor is only 3 volts , 120V are necessary to run the inducer motor . System is not operational in heating mode. System is operational in cooling mode only at this time.
