During my inspection I started with the outdoor unit. I found that the compressor was not running so the first thing I checked was proper voltage going to the system after confirming the correct voltage I checked the capacitor and it was reading zero on the 40 side of the 40/5 capacitor after replacing the capacitor I checked the unit started it up and watched the system run my refrigerant pressures were 125/387 with a 7.3° superheat and a 6.7° sub cooling these are the correct measurements are then took a Ampdraws of the outdoor system the compressor was 5.2 A in the condenser fan was .5 A these are also within manufacture specifications the outdoor unit is dirty and should be cleaned. The capacitor is still under warranty but the customer decided to replace the capacitor outside of the 10 year manufactures warranty due to price.
