During my inspection today, I found multiple things I needed to bring to the customers attention. The first issue was the one that she brought to my attention and the reason we got called out here. There was water on the floor that was being created by the furnace. I found that one of the 2 inch couplings on the 2 inch PVC exhaust pipe for the furnace is not sealed properly. The glue has broken apart and is no longer creating the seal. This lack of seal is allowing water to drip from the underside of the coupling and onto the ground. The second issue I found is the gas pressures on the system or not where they are supposed to be. The manufacturer states that they want no more than 3.5 inches of water column on the furnace. The furnace is putting out 3.72 inches of water column. This did fail my inspection.
