What today’s visit we installed the new LP gas orifices and installed mixing screws onto the burner assembly. After doing so we tested the gas pressure. The inlet side was around 9.7 inches of water column. We started the system up and the inlet dropped to around 7.3 inches of water column, and the outlet side of the gas valve was around 4.3 inches of water column, this was extremely low for furnace operation. The homeowner needs to get the gas company to come back out here and adjust the gas pressures of the tank going into the home to 12–13.6 inches of water column the inlet side while the furnace is operating should be no less than 11 inches of water column and the outlet side of the furnace while running should be no less than 11 inches of water column. I talked to the gas company on the phone with the customer standing there and they said that they would get the gas pressures to where they needed to be on the furnace.
