VERY INFORMATABLE ABOUT WHAT HE WAS DOING, AS WELL AS WHAT IT WAS GOING TO COST. HE ALSO CONVINCED US THAT OUR EQUIPMENT WAS TOO OLD TO BE PUTTING A LOT OF MONEY INTO SO WE ARE PURCHASING NEW EQUIPMENT.

Service call for no cooling. 14-year-old Nordyne furnace and condenser. Upon arrival the air circulation system worked but the condenser did not. Found the start winding wire had burned apart and the voltage enhancer failed. After repairing the wire and replacing the voltage enhancer, the condenser started and the refrigerant pumping system's run amps were 8.8 (RLA is 13), the start amps were 5.2, and the air exhaust system's amps were .6 (FLA is 1.1). The system began properly cooling.
