Upon arrival technician spoke with the homeowner, homeowner stated that he could hear the water heater flexing from the other side of the wall. Upon further investigation the technician cannot light the water heater, due to the fact that the pilot light continuously goes out. This water heater will need to be replaced in order to keep the house from flooding due to a water heater leak. 50 gallon capacity, 40,000 BTUs, February 2003 18 years old, 5 foot tall, copper flex lines, three-quarter inch cpvc, three-quarter inch PVC for the drain pan. Drain pan looks to be a 2‘ x 2 1/2‘ size pan. Spoke with customer about installing emergency shut off electronic valve. Considering the position of the water heater in the home, the shut off valve is highly recommended to prevent any damage.
