Tony Simpson returned from a visit last week. his water was frozen at the water main outside. his water meter is way too shallow and the meter froze. the county came out and could not turn the water off because the valve was frozen inside. the valve would not turn. they had to use a blow torch to un freeze the valve. they then turned the water off and then used the blow torch to try to un freeze the pipe on the house side of the meter. they melted the meter because it was plastic and had to replace the meter. they were able to get water back to the home. When I was there the first day, I had noticed that the emergency valve on the water heater needed replacing. it was about to spring a pin hole leak. he wanted it replaced, but I told him that I did not want to do any soldering and cannot check or test my connections under pressure as the main was frozen. I told him when the county that was scheduled to come out the same day I was there, I told him to call
