Boiler repair service. Bled upstairs baseboard heaters, baseboards now starting to heat. I suggested replacing the boiler expansion tank, but the heating system would have to be drained and refilled; no valves on the boiler system to make the repair easier.
Boiler repair. No heat on the boiler. Found the pilot light assembly and thermocouple clogged and completely burnt up. The customer has spent a lot of money on this old boiler and is considering our estimate to replace the complete system. Will call us on Monday. We are considering a Weil-McLain upgrade. The system needs to have piping on the right side of the boiler.
Sump pump service. Upon arrival customer had breaker to sump pump in crawl space turned off. She thought something was wrong because it was running continuously. Had customer turn breaker back on to find pump was operating as it should, crawl space was flooded and the pump got rid of all the water. Customer elected not to replace pump since it’s working at this time.
ESTIMATE TO REPLACE HORIZONTAL FURNACE IN A CRAWL SPACE
Replace Rheem water heater 40 gallon. Test for safe operation. Remove old tank
Pump service. Replace sewage ejector pump. Test and clean up.
Time to replace old water heater. Disconnect and recycle old water heater. Install new energy efficient Rheem hot water heater to code. Test system for safe operation. Hot water is flowing again. Clean up work area.
