Boiler repair. I cleaned the dirty boiler burners. I also found 3 out of 5 thermostats with old batteries, put new batteries in them. Found power head for living room is bad and needs replacement head. A "boiler power head" refers to the actuator mechanism on a zone valve used in a hydronic heating system connected to a boiler; it's essentially the part of the valve that receives the electrical signal and physically operates the valve to control the flow of hot water to different zones in a building, effectively turning the heating on or off in specific areas.
Install whole house humidifier for second floor furnace. Improves health. Humidifiers can help with respiratory issues like allergies, asthma, and sinus irritations. They can also help prevent dry skin, chapped lips, and sore throats. Energy savings. Humidifiers can help you maintain a comfortable temperature without adjusting your thermostat as often. Dry air makes your home feel colder, so you might need to turn up the heat more, which can increase your energy bills. Protect your home. Humidifiers can help prevent damage to your home's wooden furniture and floors, which can crack or deform in low humidity. Reduce static. Humidifiers can make the air less dry, which can reduce the chance of being shocked at home.
