I went out for a service call for a air conditioner that was not cooling the home. I found that the best option for the homeowner was the replace the system due to age, condition and repair costs.
Upon arrival I found filter clean. No issues with contactor or with wiring, Outdoor coil is clean. Airflow is slightly low, Noting high static pressure. No other issue found. System operational on departure.
I completed a diagnostic on an A/C. I inspected the unit and outdoor coil slightly dirty and the contactor is pitted and showing signs of wear with carbon build up. I also found capacitor reading out of specs and the system is low on refrigerant. Recommended replacement due to age, condition, efficiency, and phasing out of R22. Customer will call back about repair/replacement once they have spoken with their home warranty.
I completed a diagnostic service call on a heat pump. Upon arrival the unit was off and we came to the conclusion that it was shot. I provided options to the customer to remove the issue, everything is operating properly at the moment.+

System and Operation on the Departure customer understands that one system goes into defrost mode it may lock system out again because of gas furnace attempting to fire and going into hard lock out on control board inform customer to power cycle unit to correct issue until propane is installed at home.
