I came back from a fishing trip to find a pool of water under my hot water tank and a spray of hot water coming from the joint. I have learned to check the basement before and after I leave for any extended time. Well I called a plumber I used in the past and all I got was, we will try to get there some time tomorrow but we can’t guarantee that. Meanwhile, I am without hot water, which means no shower...or a very quick one. I called Pittsburgh’s Best Plumbing and Heating right after the vague response from the other company. They called back within 15 minutes, I described my problems and they scheduled a time slot with the next 2 hours. The guys arrived on time and were outstanding. They explained the situation and told me what the fix was and then went to get the part. They returned and fixed the issue. As they were leaving I asked them about an intermittent problem I was having and they suggested a fix but said that since I could not recreate the issue it was my call. I had asked them to replace a part that normally has a 5-7 year life since I have lived in the house for 10 years and they went and got that part and fixed that problem as well. All I can say is “Job well done”. Great communications, listened to my problem and did some research before they recommended a solution. Even then they gave me options. I will definitely switch my HVAC maintenance contract to them.
