Checked in with customer, checked unit found nothing wrong with unit. Thermostat set point was set to 88 deg. I asked Jane her temperature preference set point, she requested 77 degrees. Completed PM, checked the dual run capacitor, test unit amp draws, refrigerant charge is normal. Rinsed off the condenser coil, the system is working well at this time. Job Complete

out the compressor and condenser coil cabinet. Also noticed the common pin completely blew out of it's housing, releasing refrigerant and compressor oils. At this point my diagnosis is complete. Because the heat of the unit is down. Unable to check any other parts of unit. Compressor needs to be changed. Office to quote. Job complete at this time.

Checked in with customer. Upon Diagnoistic of the 18 year old 5 ton Lennox unit, I can't condenm any component failures at this time. However I find the compressor the cusp of over amping. It's rated factory maximum amp draw 25 amp actual test reading 23.9A. The system is working at it's full potential. I can not improve or enhance the performance of the system. Recommend replacing 5 ton Lennox unit due to age and efficiency. Will have office quote customer.
