Spring air conditioning maintenance performed at a lab in Camarillo, California. All units inspected, pressures and motor amperages tested. Filters replaced. Diagnosed unit #5 with a failed condenser fan motor, unit off. Will quote necessary repairs.

A commercial customer in Camarillo, California, was scheduled for their old HVAC unit to be replaced today. After removing the old unit and setting the new equipment on the roof, our technicians set up the new economizer, re-attached all electrical, drain lines and ductwork. All operations were tested, unit is online and site comfortable.

The unit needed its condenser fan motor, blade and capacitor replaced, as well as a contactor. Re-hooked electrical and tested system. Unit is back up and running with a 55 degree supply temperature. While completing all PM checklist items, the technician noted that one ICP air conditioner had a pitted contactor and condenser fan motor that was pulling high amps. Will recommend replacing both parts to avoid unexpected failure. All other units running, no more issues to report.
A distribution center in Camarillo, California, requested a commercial HVAC technician to look at their heat. Our tech arrived and found unit #2 not working. The low voltage fuse tripped, due to shorted electrical wiring. After repairing short, tested and found no further issues. Customer requested a replacement thermostat on unit #3 because the push buttons were hard to move. Tech installed the new thermostat, hooked up electrical and tested. Customer happy and site comfortable again.
Scheduled a quality assurance visit for a customer that we'd recently installed a new server room commercial HVAC for. System was working but customer wanted a humming noise checked. Tech inspected the new ICP air conditioner and found no unusual vibrations or parts out of place. Explained to the customer that the previous unit had been a direct drive system, and this new unit was belt driven, causing a slight increase in normal operating noise. Technician adjusted the motor speed slightly to bring down noise a little more. No other issues to report, job complete.
Performed preventative maintenance on ac unit at clothing store in Ventura County. Replaced air filters and inspected all electrical, motors, coils, and noted deficiencies. Coils need to be washed, will recommend to customer. Also found the gas meter had been locked out by the city, alerting customer. AC maintenance complete.
Dispatched our technician back to a distribution center in Camarillo, California, to complete approved work. The technician replaced a defective disconnect and inducer fan motor on the ICP air conditioner. Also attached updated a map for our records, recording the locations of all HVAC units for customer reference.

After investigating, our technician found that the condenser fan motor was not wired properly and was missing the common wire. Technician rewired the motor, also replaced the capacitor as it was not the correct part. Unit turned back on and site is comfortable again.
