A restauarant in Corona, California, reported that their ice machines were not working. Upon arrival our tech found the first Hoshizaki ice maker with a hole in the spout, preventing water from reaching the compartment to make ice. Tech was able to make a temporary repair while new spout is on order. The second ice machine he found the check valve was being bypassed by the water and dumping it straight to the drain. Removed and cleaned check valve, replaced and tested. Ice machine #2 up and running normally now.
Dispatched our Corona CA area technician to a restaurant for a second opinion on the state of their air conditioner. Our technician arrived onsite, checked in with management and proceeded to the roof. After obtaining all asset information the technician surveyed the systems. All units were in poor condition, no filters as they'd been removed and left on the roof. All condenser and evaporator coils were clogged. Units #1 and #3 are in the worst condition, rusted out and multiple failures. #2 and #4 have been repaired before. #4 was off due to a broken belt. Was able to get #4 up and running with a spare belt for now. Will quote all necessary work for the customer, including the replacements.
Our Corona California area technician responded to a no cooling call. Back air conditioning unit wasn't working. Upon arrival, found that the air filter for the system was badly clogged, allowing little airflow and causing the evaporator to ice over. System was slightly low on refrigerant, will recommend a leak search, unit is working for now.
